A True Story Of How The Day Off Diet Worked For A Fat Pilot Friend

This is an honest to goodness true story that I’m going to tell you about a friend of mine that was actually on this diet….”The Day Off Diet”. I never would have believed it and people will tell you that this will never work but I will tell you first hand that this diet is not a scam.

I had a friend who was an airline pilot by profession and a hockey player in his heart. With the recent economic downturn he wound up getting laid off. So like many people without much to do with their time, he began eating and packing on the pounds. I would give him a hard time and tell him he looked “jolly” and tell him that he was “filling out nice” and I think that it started to get to him. Well, things only seemed to get worse for my friend and thus his weight really skyrocketed. It was sad to see since he was a great hockey player and an all around superb athlete….and soon people were saying that he had really let himself go. I could barely believe it was him after I hadn’t seen him for a few months!

I can’t tell you how much weight he put on but I will tell you that it was enough that I figured he had lost all hope of ever getting back into shape…not to mention, playing hockey any time in the near future.

My friend came to visit me one night at work and the subject of his weight came up. He told me that he was starting a new diet and that he was going to drop the weight so he could go back to flying and playing hockey again. I encouraged him and told him that this was great and that I was worried about his health due to his weight.

As he told me about this diet I was doubtful. He explained that he had tried other diets and he would start to lose weight but soon he would plateau and grow frustrated, go off the diet and gain even more weight back. This new diet allowed him to eat normally for one day out of the week as long as he stuck to the diet that was specially designed to work with his body’s metabolism to burn the weight that he had put on.

Now, my buddy is fond of some pretty rich fatty foods like Canadian bacon and donuts, being from Canada, and I was afraid that he had just come across some fad diet that he was putting all his faith into and he would soon be disappointed once again. But I wished him well and told him to keep in touch.

A few months later he stopped back by the office late one night and I could barely believe my eyes. My old buddy was back…back in the shape that he was in back when he played hockey semipro and looking great. He told me that this Day Off Diet was the easiest thing he ever had to do. Yeah, at times during the week he would want to eat certain foods that weren’t on the diet but just knowing that if he could just last a couple more days he could enjoy the foods that he loved made it easy to stick with the diet. He said that the amount of damage that could be done in one 24 hour period was minimal and that by eating normally for that one day actually helped his body to stay in step and keep from going into “starvation mode” by being on a diet for too long.

At first it didn’t make sense to me but when you think about it, it makes perfect sense. If you deny your body food, eventually it is going to think that there is a famine going on and it’s going to naturally slow your body metabolism down to conserve your body’s resources. If you trick it into thinking that there is plenty of food by eating normally one day out of the week, it never falls into that “starvation mode”. Make sense? All I know is that it worked wonders for my Canadian hockey playing friend…so why wouldn’t it work for you?

The Day Off Diet - Diet 6 Days Then Cheat

“The Day Off Diet” isn’t a fad diet or a scam diet. The Day Off Diet is a diet plan that promises to help you lose weight effectively and easily while allowing you to still enjoy eating like a normal human being instead of a rabbit for one day out of the week.

That’s right….literally for one day out of the week you have a “day off” from your diet and are allowed and encouraged to eat as you normally would if you weren’t on a diet. Now, many may say that this will never work and that people will go crazy and binge on all the foods that they have been craving all week, but this isn’t necessarily so. In actuality, most people do manage to maintain some self control. But even people who have gone a little crazy on their “day off” haven’t done any sort of permanent damage or even come close to gaining back even a fraction of the weight that they had lost over the week.

In actuality, the purposed behind the “day off” part of The Day Off Diet is two fold. Yes, people do like the idea of being able to eat the foods that they love for at least one day out of the week. This may help people who might want to cheat on their diet during the week since they have that “day off” in sight and have that to look forward to when the going gets tough. It definitely makes sticking to a diet pretty easy when you know that you will have a whole day where you can eat normally and not have to worry about being a party pooper at a birthday party or a wedding. You can simply schedule your day off around such special occasions including the holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving!

The second purpose behind the “day off” portion of The Day Off Diet is that it literally helps your body to be more effective in burning fat and thus losing the weight when used in conjunction with the diet plan laid out in the book. I know that this may be difficult to understand and I’m not a doctor but all of this is explained very well on “The Day Off Diet” Homepage and you can read the thorough explanation there.

What you will notice though is that the methods in The Day Off Diet actually avoid the common obstacle that confronts many dieters and that is “the wall”. What do I mean by “the wall”? I am talking about when you are chugging right along dropping a pound or so a day and you’re feeling great and everyone is telling you that you’re looking great…everyone is so proud of you…and then suddenly you just stop losing weight. No matter what you do you can shed another pound for the life of you. People start to wonder if you had stopped dieting…and what normally happens is that people become frustrated and just go off their diet and wind up gaining back all the weight that they had lost.

With “The Day Off Diet” you will never hit a wall with your weight and every week you will lose approximately the same amount of weight until you have reached your goal weight. No more frustration and no more torturing yourself with dreams of chocolate and breads…and no more kicking the bathroom scale wondering if the thing is broken because you can’t lose that last ten pounds after the first came off so easily!

Go to “Day Off Diet” Homepage and see how it can help you to lose the weight that you had dreamed of quickly and easily. Find out how this system works precisely and the secret in “The Day Off Diet” that is helping so many to lose weight without the torture of traditional diets.

Diet Six Days A Week – The Day Off Diet Review

Dieting is a pain! There is no doubt about it. Even the thought of going on a diet makes you hungry and angry. Why is it that there are people who can eat whatever they want without gaining a pound while you watch what you eat and exercise and stay at the same weight or continue to gain weight.

Maybe you have tried some of the fad diets out there and maybe even had a little success with them…but the weight always winds up coming back. And why does it seem that you can diet and exercise for what seems like months to lose the weight but you can gain it all back in a few short weeks? It doesn’t seem fair does it?

Or have you ever dieted and gotten so close to your goal weight that you could almost taste it? Then you “hit the wall” and you can’t seem to lose an ounce for the life of you. You could try eating air and you would still stay steady at that sticking point. So frustrating!

You do believe in eating healthy and you know that exercise is good. But on the other hand you want to have a life again! You want to be able to go out to eat at a restaurant and eat something other than the salad. You want to be able to live your life without working your life around a workout schedule. You don’t want to feel guilty and have to do an extra hour of cardio because you wanted to have a piece of cake at your child’s birthday party. You just want to live your life.

There is a way to diet and have a life at the same time though. This technique isn’t something new and I have a friend who practiced this method back ten years ago very successfully. The authors of The Day Off Diet have perfected the system in this book and it seems to be catching on and working wonders for many people. It is no great surprise though since I knew of this diet back ten years ago.

The way The Day Off Diet works is that you stick to a regimen of food prescribed in the diet that actually work to boost your metabolism…food that help your body to burn fat, essentially and thus lose weight. As you know, it is usually in the beginning of the diet when you lose weight quickly. It’s great…you feel good…you feel confident…and then you hit the wall and get “stuck” and can’t seem to lose weight to save your life.

This is when the “day off” part of The Day Off Diet comes into play. On your “day off” you are allowed to eat as you normally would. So no more torturing yourself thinking that you will never be able to eat chocolate cake or ice cream or break….yeah, yummy bread with melted butter! All you have to do is wait until your day off and you can eat these things again.

By taking the “day off” and eating normally again you are actually helping your system to lose weight and almost “breaking down” that wall that stood between you and your ideal weight. The Day Off Diet Homepage goes into more detail and explains all of this better than I could ever hope to telling you exactly how and why this method works so well. Like I said, it’s a combination of eating the right food combination's to help your body to change so it will burn fat…and then the “day off” of the diet which almost seems to supercharge things and helps you to avoid the frustration of stalling short of your ideal weight.
